Title: CZ P07/extended barrel
Post by: cz671 on October 21, 2013, 07:30:14 PM
Placed an order for one from cz custom shop, (on sale) i like the idea of the original p07 frame n slide With the longer barrel.  Anyone have one?  Your experience?  was told by the custom shop this is how it came from CZ UB,  not put together here in the U.S. with longer barrel.  Will post back with pics and range results

I bought a threaded extended P 07 barrel from CZ Custom 6 months ago and put a Wolf compensator on it. My wife was just learning to shoot pistols and I had started her out with a 4 inch 38 Special with 148 grain wad cutters over a very small charge of Red Dot. I wanted to get her into 9 MM so she could CCW one instead of a clunky 38 special. The P 07 with compensator and light hand loads significantly reduced the recoil for her. Over a couple of months I got her up to +P 9 MM loads in the P 07. I then switched her over to factory velocity 9 MM loads in an LC 9. She is now a very happy camper carrying a 9 MM and has no idea how I "trained " her.

I have a P-07 with an extended barrel but it is not threaded. I really like it, it shoots well, I carried it today in an IWB Falco holster and it was comfortable.

I suppose I can have it threaded to accept a suppressor anytime I want. But the extended barrel does not hinder Concealed Carry for me. I like it.

You are posting the link to the album, not the actual individual picture.

The first picture, using the direct link on the RHS of your photobucket page should be this:

If you want to see what the link I posted looks like so you can copy the format, just click the 'quote' button on this post and it will show it to you.

I bought the compensator off of Ebay for $55, I think the description may have said Glock but it will fit any barrel with matching threads (1/2 x 28).  As for a video, I don't have one but there is very little muzzle jump and very low felt recoil which allows for very fast subsequent shots. I had to increase my handloads to the max allowable of HP 38 to get the gun to cycle reliably.

some range results with 124gr fmj which i had on hand, but today got some 115gr to try later.

my first shots pictured 6 oclock hold, then my poa is centered on red from the 7y-25y.  this is all shot standing un supported, but need to get a rest and actually see the poi from there, before i start making adjustments.  has a nice trigger but not as nice as my gp k100, as for the reset well....not use to it being that long but i could get use to it.   5-shots at target

Sorry, but an extended barrel with no threads makes no sense.
