Title: CZ 527 bedding
Post by: 1coolcat on September 05, 2016, 01:19:53 PM
Hi guys,
New to the forum, and new to CZ.
I picked up a 221 fireball, 527 now I have a 17 Remington varmint 527 on the way..what a perfect rifle I'm done with Remington's I've spent way to much money over the years correcting there sloppy work.
I'm glad i took a chance with CZ. I've read so many good things about there products.
Anyway I would like to action bed my cz.. any tips are appreciated.
Thanks

Welcome to the forum! I'm sure others can give input on bedding, but have you shot the .221FB yet? Using factory Nosler FBHP 40gr, my shots were touching at 100yds out of the box. Just saying you might want to make sure it's not a shooter without bedding before you bed it.

Im one of those guys who like to play around with my rifles..the rifle shoots good..I just want to wring out a little more accuracy..and I'm pretty good at bedding..I would like to hear the out come of your bedding jobs and what you use for pillars

The rifle is great for a factory rifle. It shoots nice, feeds great from the magazine, wood looks great, nice clean inletting. Most importantly when I shove a patch down the barrel it feels nice and smooth..I put 100 Rds
Through the barrel so fare with very little copper fouling..the little barrel heats up quickly but cool quickly also. The bolt race way is a bit rough, but hopefully it will smooth out with out lapping.

This guy's rep is impeccable with CZ rifles. He can set you up with pillars.
