Title: Installing a CGW Ultra-Lite Kit on a PCR
Post by: CZDad on April 21, 2017, 12:47:26 PM
Let me preface this by saying the current full DA pull doesn't really bother me.  I've carried revolvers off and on for years, so the initial first pull isn't an issue. But I've wondered..  Could it be better.

So I've been considering replacing the hammer spring for a lighter one, but then found out that replacing the firing pin spring might also be need to be replaced to make sure everything stays reliable. I've found the GCW Ultra-Lite Kit.  I like to doing a bit of research on the installation process to be sure it's something I can handle, but cannot find any video's detailing the process.

Would it be the same process on a Safety as on a Decocker?

Thanks Guys!

The process would be the same on both a CZ safety and decocker model. The slides of the two models are the same. While the frames are a bit different the process of changing a hammer spring is the same on both.

Any guide that covers full disassembly should cover accessing the firing pin and hammer spring. To put it simply, the hammer spring is accessed by removing the Main Spring Plug Pin and the Firing Pin is accessed by removing the Firing Pin Retaining Pin.

Here is a guide that covers both parts.
