Title: Cz 455 varmint or American

Very happy with it. The reason for choosing the thumbhole stock? Vanity. I just like the way it looks, along with the fluted barrel. It's just a classy rifle, and its accuracy is very impressive. Effortless one MOA groups, and I'm no expert. I haven't even tried anything except cheap Remington Thunderbolt ammo yet.

Beware that it is heavy, but for bench shooting that's a plus.

I have the 455 American. I like the overall weight/balance of the rifle. Also, adding a bipod didn't throw off the balance at all. As far as it's accuracy, it's spot on. Now for me, this is primarily a hunting rifle. I'm not too concerned with shooting out a spot the size of a dime at 50 yards. I'm happy with a nickel.

The American is 5+. Will it really be nickel vs dime loss of accuracy? I also own a Winchester 300 win mag so primary hunting rifle is taken care of I feel.

I put BKL 1 inch rings (medium, 11mm dovetail) with a Leupold VX 1 2-7 x33 scope on mine...ample clearance for the bolt.
