Title: Bumpy Chamber question
Post by: Strongarm on February 14, 2018, 12:06:39 AM
Hello,

Please sorry for my bad english. I hope I can get some advices from you in this topic

I live in Peru, as I mentioned in the new members forum.

I have a CZ P07 2nd Gen 9mm Luger. I've shot about 300 shots with it since I get it new. But today I was cleaning the gun and I notice that the barrel, outside, in the top part of the chamber is not completely flat, If I pass my finger, it feels like there's a little bumpy in the middle.

It's barely noticeable, but there is... Just in the middle of the chamber, in the top outside, the part that is expossed from the ejection port

Is this normal in P07/P09 or should I take it to repair. It's a brand new gun. Would you pass your finger over the chamber top of your gun and tell me if a little bump is present?

Thanks in advance for your advices...

Best regards

The barrel should be squared but tapered towards the front of the gun. Where the taper starts is a slight "bump" where the angles come together.
Is that what you're talking about?

Maybe post a picture

Here's a picture:

You'll see that the light creates a double color in the chamber top. That is the bump that I'm concerned...

Somebody has that in his P07/P09?

There's another active thread on this same subject/question.

Yes, all three of mine have it.  As someone in the other thread said, it's more of a place where two different angles meet.

Nothing to worry about - oh, the finish will wear off that spot first.  It has on mine.  A badge of use, not a problem.
