CZ 452 2E ZKM (Super Brno 2500)
« on: November 26, 2003, 07:49:49 AM »
hey guys,

i am new to these forums. Anyways, I intend on buying this rifle. So far i know that its a CZ 452 but this one comes with a 29" barrel rather than standard 25".
Its also a .22 LR calibre.
What do you guys think about this rifle and why should and shouldnt i buy this rifle?
How is this rifle different to the CZ 452 lux?
THis rifle also costs AUS$ 125 less than the lux model. How come?
Is there something i should know about this rifle?

cheers

Grab it up in a hurry.  Reports say that only 150 of these were made and they are top of the line. American Monte Carlo stock with cheek rest and rubber butt pad, and the stock is an orange color instead of brown. If you can pick it up for $150.00 less then that is great, should be same price or even more. Check out this link.

thanks for the reply ratkill, the rifle in the shop looks exactly like the one on the link you posted. It also has a rubber but pad and is orange. I have compared both the lux and the brno version and the brno is definetly about 10cm or 4inch longer.
WOW mad only 150 of those were made, must be a custome model then.
Yeah i am still waiting for a Firearms purchse permit ( here in austrlia once u get your licence, everything you wanna buy a firearm you gotta apply for a firearm purchase permitt.... very annoying if u ask me) but i have already put a deposit on  that rifle so its all mine!!!

The orange beech stocked CZ's with the 29" barrel is marked SUPER BRNO SA 2500 on the top of the barrel, and I believe 2500 were initially made for the United Arab Emerites, but the deal fell thru, so the rifles were sold elsewhere. There has emerged another run of 150 or so brown walnut stocked CZ's with 29" barrels that is marked SUPER EXCLUSIVE on top of the barrel. I have both models and they are identical, except the wood of the stock and barrel markings, and definitely shooters. There is now a third version in the orange beechwood stock and marked SUPER EXCLUSIVE. It would not surprise me to see a fourth version in walnut stock and marked SUPER DUPER LONG BARREL CZ.

Just went and picked mine up as well (from my local FFL).  Great rifle for the money, I wish I could get another one.  Go ahead and get the trigger kit.  My gunsmith installed mine in about 15 minutes (red sleeve with spring #3).  Measured pull is 1.5 pounds, no slack.  I can't wait to get some glass on it.  Regards,
L'man
