CZ527 Varmint twist rates

I recently emailed CZ-USA enquiring about the twist rates of CZ 527 Varmint barrels in 223 & 308, this is their reply:

"The 308 and the .223 are 1:12 except for H-S Precision stock .223 which is 1:9  Thanks"

I think this is an important difference given what the guns will probably be purchased for & one that is not even mentioned in the press release.

I understand that the early HS stocked varminters were 1 in 12" and because I bought one of the first around here I assumed it was of this batch. There were 450 rifles in that batch. However, I was shooting some 69 grain loads that I developed for a Savage 110 fp last week end and they were sub MOA out to 300 yards. This is a very accurate rifle. Prairie Dog Season is comming fast and it will get a serious work out.
