I love my new 40P but, My firing pin and primer seem to have some issues. I don't get the nice neat round well centered firing pin mark I find on my other pistols cases. There is a distinct perpendicular drag mark (to the firing pin strike) displacing metal on the primer. It looks like a lolipop with a short stick. The firing pin appears to be dragging as the case extracts. Firing pin protrusion = 0.50 at full depression. All I can figure is the firing pin is remaining out as the pistol begins it recoil cycle and being dragged against the fired primer. Do I need to beef up the firing pin spring? Send it back to the factory? quit worrying?
Also should I replace the recoil spring with a stronger one?
Anyone got any strong opinions about the plastic recoil spring guide?
Thanks
