New CZ 75 Compact .40 S&W question
« on: October 12, 2005, 10:45:05 AM »
Just picked up my new CZ 75 Compact and I can't wait to get out to spend some rounds at the target range. While going over the manual and reading all the features, I noticed that the magazine falls straight out without stoping. I was not expecting this.  I don't mind this, I just thought it was suppose to catch on the way down and I had to manually remove it. Both magazines fall straight out. Anything to worry about or did I miss understand?

Thanks!

All of the .40 CZs have drop-free, I think.

As do the 9mm SA models, and the 85 Combat.  The rest of them can be made to allow drop free by bending the mag brakes (a flat spring in the grip.)

Most folks who shoot competitively WANT drop-free mags.
