Those grips are really nice looking. I wonder if CZ will ever make them fully checkered and without that logo.

Angus has them fully checkered w/logo.

The Logo is what sold me on them.

Those wooden grips look so awesome, and I like the fact that they are a bit thinner, that I placed my order and I am still waiting for the Compact! I went to pick it up - after waiting the ten days - and they suddenly noticed that the pistol came with 16-round mags and guess who lives in CA? So more waiting! Grrrrrrrrr. So I'll have great looking wooden grips, a conversion kit, ammo, and no handgun!

To bad they messed up your order. I have some 10rd mags, I'll swap you, if your FFL wants to send them my way. You said 16rd mags? Did they send you a semi compact?

No, the compact was there at the gun store. The mags, of course, were in the case somewhere in the back. They still have the gun, as I can't use it without a mag. My guess is that they are really 14 rd mags and he just made a mistake. Sorry I can't swap with you. When I pick up the gun I'll ask if they still have the mags and ask what they intend to do with them.

OK,
Just put on the night sights. Nothing was easier to do,knock out roll pin in front and used a wooden dowel to drive off front sight and tapped new one back in place.
On rear sight I wrapped slide in a towel leaving rear sight exposed, used same wooden dowel to tap out old sight and tap back in new sight (put back in exact place as old). Wiped it down . Done. About 20 mins total.

Sights from Angus were in perfect condition and really brighter than I expected, wish he had them for my 40P.

I would really like a set of the Angus aluminum grips made to fit a compact.  It make the gun thinner than most 1911s with the grips.  Maybe if more of us contacted him and asked him to have a run of these made, it could happen?

Nice grips, what kind of finish is that it's, much nicer than my old factory blue finish.
