Does anybody know where I can find some smooth wooden grips in stock for my 40B?

Doubt anyone will have something "in stock", but I'm sure that Hakan Pek can whip something up for you...

My favorite 40b pic is always a 40b in use. This one's from yesterday's match. No I didn't do good, but the gun sure did. :D

...also good to know with CM 08-01 that my hand loads are good for alphas at 105'. :D

i take it back. just got the results in an email. i had 2 alphas in the back, ironically. my POA was at the very top of the alpha where it meets the charlie. my hands aren't all that great yet, but i got my high charlies and a couple alphas in the back. in terms of POA and POI, i'd say the POIs were centered within the POA. but at that distance, it's my skill, not gun that's missing lol. then with the strong hand i got more charlies, the left hand had my 4 mikes and 2 deltas. whoops. had i known i was doing THAT bad i would've just zero'd it on purpose.

here's the vids: http://www.youtube.com/ffoem ... the CM 08-01 should be the latest listed. there's a few more of me being an idiot in there. but hey, i just crossed my 6 month anniversary of shooting guns this weekend. yay?

doing well for 6 months of shooting..keep at it..

CM08-01 can get kind of tough.

freestyle at 35yards and SH/WH at 15yards

remember..it all about that front sight and trigger press.

i htink what really killed me was the 4 mikes on the weak hand. the shots were on the upper left shoulder of the target, i'm pretty sure i was jerking it.

also, if i'm reading these results right... it doesn't seem like anyone else did well... local match results are GA09 for 9/7... i'm up in the lim-10 division results.

on any type of stage..most people don't practice weak hand only type of shooting..so if in your practice sessions you commit to say 50 rounds of good solid strong hand shooting and 50 rounds to weakhand shooting..you develop a strength that few people have.
keep at it..

yeah, i gotta start mixing up my practice sessions. i admit that i'm doing a lot of work - perhaps too much work, with a walther p22. i just need to either get a kadet kit or just swallow the extra cost of shooting more 40sw in practice, doh.

that's the tough part is affording all of this..
I do a little shooting with my kadet..usually shooting groups and working on steel. for most of my practice though I will shoot my match gun or backup..just because the differences in recoil will mess with my timing. I may work out basics with the .22 but will always go back and work with match ammo on the timer.

yup, affording it is the biggie. between 1200 rounds/month for just me, plus match fees and such... ouchy! lol. i've also been thinking about getting an AR... my id says no but my ego says yes :D but in all seriousness, i promised myself not to buy anything new until i either make B class, or win 1st place in my division. not a lot of people in lim-10 anyways, and there's not too many past B class that show up. you know, i technically win lim-10 at just about every weekly club match (tee hee)

I don't get out as near as much I would like too..
I shoot maybe 3 to 4 matches a month and maybe get 1 or 2 practice sessions in..so lots of dryfire time for me..

what our local grandmaster recommended was 10 minutes a day, every day.... i'd like to, but idon't have quite the same level of hardcore dedication.

...screw it. i'm off to practice. i'm in the mood anyways. :)

One CZ40B. No mods, looks just like any other out of the box 40B. It's the one I keep by my bed :)

My box stock 40B:

Currently torn down and stored in a multitude of plastic baggies.  Eventually it's going to become a SAO, with a sick trigger.  Thinking of doing it up in hardchrome as well.  Unfortunately, it keeps getting put on the backburner as new projects come that need attention first.

It's a heckuva gun though, especially for the price.
