CZ 75 EXPLODED PARTS VIEW
« on: May 21, 2009, 05:59:24 PM »
Thought I'd post this up, as others have been asking.  I got it off the net years ago somewhere but can't remember exactly.  May have been Brownells or Numrich??

Many thanks, dos.  I saved it to my hard drive and suddenly realized that my wheel mouse can make this nifty diagram increase or decrease in size simply by rolling it.  Excellent!

Yeh, it looks best at @ 125% magnification.   If you have an imaging program sharpen the focus about 2 points....and it looks darn good.   ;D

Lubrication points are as follows

Barrel locking lugs top and bottom
Top of barrel near muzzle (or bottom wherever it contacts)
Slide rails
Pin locations like the hammer pin

Thats it............

That diagram is messed up, you never put oil on the extractor, firing pin, and you should not put oil on the sear, hammer engagement surfaces because it attracts dirt causing wear + it makes a hell of a mess.

i like the colored part.  makes it simple.

i got a poster from one of persons selling them several years ago, but it doesnt have any of the lube points.

iirc, someone is making/selling a gun mat with similar info.

I usually just do a pass with ballistol spray  on the slide and on the frame.  plenty of lube on everything.   the few spritzs that do get into the firing pin channel won't hurt it.  ymmv

The smart CZ retailers here don't fully agree with that diagram either.
Lube:   +"trigger bar", +hammer pins where it rotates, + bbl lugs, + bbl bushing (tip of bbl),  +several pins,  - FP , - Extractor .

+ = lightly oil/lube
- = NO oil/lube

Read some of schmecky's posts/stickies in case I added some or forgot others.

But then again CZC posted this photo to their FB page with the following caption:

Every now and then we get a question about what needs oiling on a cz pistol. There are obvious places like recoil spring, barrel, slide rails, trigger return spring, main spring etc. But this might be one place that is overlooked.
