CZ97BD and JHP ammo
« on: October 19, 2009, 07:15:45 AM »
I have not been able to find a new 97BD. If there are owners reading this that actually own a 97BD how does it feed JHP ammo?  Secondly, did your's come with Tritium sights? Are they dots or bars.  Furthermore, does it have the old style trigger or the more curved trigger like the SP-01, P-01, P-06, P-07,etc. Lastly, where did you find one? They're like hen's teeth here in the Midwest.  Thanks.  Oh, is the magazine spring beefier? ???

Yes, they (mine at least?) came with green tritium dot type sights.

Can't help you with your JHP question, I only load lead so far.

I got my personal one From Whittaker's Guns in KY.  They also have a website.

Thumper:

Does your 97BD have the more curved trigger, like the SP-01 or P-06?  Or is it like the old 97B trigger, more straight. I have a 97B that shoots better than my Custom Springfield 1911 at 1/3 the cost.  If it weren't for the fact that the 97B is just a wee bit large for my hand subsequently, the initial grasp is a bit awkward, though I've shot it IPSC and won in Production.  Thank you for your time.

Hi CZ75Brocks,

Hmm, looking at a picture of the SP-01 Phantom (since I don't actually have one to compare to the 97), I would say the Phantom (to me) looks like the trigger is slightly more curved on it than on the 97BD.

CZ-97BD trigger

CZ-SP-01 trigger.

Hope those pictures help.  They (the 97BD especially!) is kinda small.  ;D
