My new TZ-75
« on: May 02, 2010, 09:49:38 PM »
After purchasing my CZ PCR last year I was reminded of a lost love. My first pistol.
A TZ-75 purchased in the mid 1980's. I decided I must rekindle the flame. Enter Gunbroker.
I present to you my $300 purchase.

It has not a mark on it. It is pristine in every way. Now the hunt for magazines.

Very very Nice!  Congratulations!

Reminds me of my second Pre-Series 88 TZ75, grips and all.

For Magazines, Pre-Series 88 TZ75, Pre-B CZ75, and SP01 Magazines will work.

Give this a try!

Copterdrvr

Thanks for the information. Have you used these in a pre 88 TZ-75?
The retention slot appears in the photo to be on the wrong side of the magazine.
I wonder if that photo is mirror imaged? Or do these have the slot on both sides like my CZ?
Thanks again for any help.

Very nice.  I saw an IMI that looked very much like yours and would have bought it, except for the fact it was in .40 S&W.

Sorry for the late reply.  The mag has slots on both sides.  It's the mag that fits my early P9 which should be the same as your TZ.

The magazine linked by Copterdrvr are the same ones I'm using in my Pre-88 TZ (#MGGT2116B), I can also use factory CZ-75B mags and the Mec-Gar 75B (#MGCZ7516B) mags as well.  All of these magazines fit and function just fine in my TZ, but some don't seem to have the same luck with the current 75B mags.  You shouldn't have a problem with the Mec-Gar MGGT2116B magazines.  At $20 it's hard to beat their price, I have seen them for $18 or less but it's usually when there is a sale on them.

I just purchased a TZ-75 and only got 1 mag.  Thanks for the good info on here.  We have a gun show in June and there's always a guy there that sells all kinds of mags, mostly factory or Mec-Gar.
Have any of you used Pro Mags?  I know they have a spotty reputation, but a local Academy sells alot of them.  Would I be better off just waiting until the gun show?
I've found that growing up in the sixties was a lot more fun than being in my sixties.

eagle-eye .........I use Pro Mags and have had good luck with their products.  They are not the quality of Mec-Gar.  I would always purchase Mer-Gar when I can, but if they are not available Pro Mag would do.   Hope this helps.   R S      PS  A big welcome to the forum.
