Holsters for P07 Duty

Hey everybody, I know alot of people have been frustrated (myself included) trying to find quality holster choices for the P07 Duty. If it helps anybody Rudy Lozano at Black Hills Leather makes a wide variety of handmade holsters that he can make for the P07 duty. I just received mine less than 4 weeks after ordering (he claimed 5 week turnaround at the time). Quality is fantastic. I will try to post a pic if I can figure it out. Thanks for the heads up. We are all encountering a similar predicament. For concealed carry, my needs were catered for by Remora and SmartCarry holsters, both of which can be ordered without a waiting period. For duty carry there is a greater problem - I am planning to test a BlackHawk Serpa USP holster today, and have a hooded security holster on order from Front Line. IMO no law enforcement agency in the Americas will take the P07 seriously until CZ USA works seriously with an existing, reputable duty holster manufacturer (Bianchi / Safariland).

I agree with you, the only thing holding this pistol back from being seriously considered as a viable choice for law enforcement is the lack of duty holsters available for it. However, with CZ selling their own "duty holster" (which has been heavily criticized in every review I have seen) I doubt they will rushing to work with the big name holster brands unfortunately. I am interested to see how the blackhawk will work for you though.

The BlackHawk USP Serpa has arrived. Reholstering is a bit difficult, but retention and drawing are just fine. I will probably use this holster for open carry from time to time.

For police duty, my Front Line HDL holster has also arrived today. This holster fits the gun perfectly, and its level 2 retention is ensured using a thumbreak/ rotating hood hybrid system, which is less mechanically complex than Safariland's hoods, but requires a different form of thumbwork to get the gun out quickly. I'm not sure what dealerships Front Line has in the USA, but this holster looks perfect to me for duty carry. I have put mine on a police duty belt, with a coil lanyard further augmenting retention.

Which model holster is this? I can see that it says CZ Duty on the back, but can't make out the part number.

Their website (Front Line and Mako) do not list a P-07 model holster.  Maybe an E-mail is in order.

Model number is K48010. Am not sure if this refers to both LH and RH versions though. I think the model is Kydex HDL (without spring lock).

I sent Mako an inquiry about getting P-07 holsters from Front Line.

When you say without the spring do you mean yours doesn't have the spring that flips the hood forward after lifting the button cover and pushing the button?

Correct. The order of action for this holster is to snap open the thumb break stud and then rotate the hood forwards. I did not get the holster with a case or the specs, so I may not have the holster description correct, but the model number should help.

Ah ok - so this is not what I would say they describes as the HDL system on their web page.  My reading comprehension could be off though.  From their website yours is a thumb break with side retention.

The HDL looks like a spring loaded hood released by the two move thumb button I mentioned above....dang they have a lot of choices!!!

I hope Mako can get the P-07 holsters for us over here - thank you VERY MUCH for posting about this.

Well no reply from Mako - wrote to Front Line to inquire what the order number would be for a P-07 in KNG with HDL.

I just got my Crossbreed Supertuck in for the P07 and is is an outstanding CCW holster. Perfect retention, holds the P07 snug to the body. Wore it all day yesterday for the first time and it was VERY comfortable. Tucking my shirt in with it for work is no problem either. Adjustable for all kinds of different cant so you don't have to limit yourself to just carrying in one position. I will buy a Supertuck for the Rami whenever I finally purchase one.

looks good. got one for myself, love it. first thing ya gotta do is cut a combat cut on that bad boy. makes a world of difference.

thats just 1 way to skin a cat, i just used a pencil and traced around the grip for approximation, then used an exacto knife til i got it just the way i wanted it, and used fine grit sandpaper to smooth it out.

Ya I was actually thinking about giving it a combat cut the other day. I don't like how my middle finger hits the holster edge when I go to draw. Heck think I'll do it right now. Pics in a minute!

Not very good pictures... this was before I sanded the edges with 150 grit. Looks a lot better in person.

At first I just cut it for the middle finger, then I realized the webbing between my thumb and index finger was restricted by leather so I made the second cut. Still just as comfortable and now more ergonomic.
