Grips for the 97
« on: January 08, 2011, 12:33:42 AM »
Hi new 97b owner here with a grip question.
Does anyone know if the factory rubber grips are slimmer than the factory wood grips? If so where can order a pair?

Don't know if they are any thinner, but I do know how to order a set...

Go to the CZ USA web site Quick Order page > http://shop.cz-usa.com/QuickOrder.aspx

Enter part number 19119 and quantity.

Cost $25 + shipping.

I have a pair on order for my new 97 which is currently on 10 day hold... I live in CA.

Put rubber grips on my 75, they work great for me.

Oh ya, it will say they are out of stock, but it's not true. I called CZ and they have them in stock... just the web site is out of date.
Mine were shipped FedEx ground last week, will have grips before gun  >:(

Slimmer? I would say no.. though they may feel slightly slimmer because the rubber grips have less 'knurl' than the wood grips.

I wish someone would made some rounded G10 grips in black for the 97B.

I know what you mean. I am working on a Custom Grip Maker to take the plunge on the CZ Grips. He said he is just so busy right now, but I will keep hounding him. If you are interested in puting in a request, it may help speed up the arm twisting process. ;D Let me know via PM and I will get you his info.

PS. He does fantastic work. I bought a pair of Stingray Hide Grips for my 1911.

So what you think of the rubber grips?

I have medium sized hands so the rubber grips "feel" better but it is still a reach for me. Now I'm wondering if changing over to a single action trigger would shorten the reach a little.
Next step is to sand on the factory wood grips who knows I may get close to the size I'm looking for.
I sure wish the reach was the same as the SP-01 or the P07 Duty.

I measured my rubber and wood grips today and they are exactly the same size.
