Here's the 97 I picked up from a forum member back in January

here's an outdoor pic

and one with a friend


Does anyone know of a way to reduce the hogue grips, the bulge around the finger grooves bothers me a little. I thought I read that you could sand them.

Happy 97b!

I have the Houge grips on mine too.  They stuck a little to far down and would push against the mag during firing so I took some off with a Dremel and the hard rubber polishing wheel.  It worked real fast so, if you try to modify anything that way, be extremely slow and careful.  I suggest practicing on another peice of rubber to get a sense  for the speed and feel of it.

You can remove all the material on the underside, that has writing, mould marks... This is easy , 220 grit, go easy not to damage where it gets thin, if done proper, mag will fall out of the gun when you hit mag release, that is without bending the flat spring   :smokin

I don't know who CZ UB hired to take these product photos, but they are absolute wizards.  I've been looking at these images for years and they still amaze me.

Hey Sanger......would you kindly give a little more info about that trigger setup you have on your 85 Compact???  Looks like the steel SA trigger to me.  What have you done?

  It could very well be the best .45ACP ever made.  You owe it to yourself to get one.  For me, even though I love Glocks and 1911s,  the CZ97 is in a class by itself as a revolutionary 45.
