The latest P-09
« on: October 14, 2011, 08:05:49 PM »
They are ready to assemble waiting for 09 slides. (that is the reason you see 08 on this one).

Keep your fingers crossed, that nobody come with idea to make this latest model even better.  >:(

P-09? Did they decide P-08 had been co-opted forever by the Luger?
What's that mag capacity say, 19?
I am sure that the lessons of the P-07 have been taken to heart, and this sidearm will be perfect right from the get go.

Interesting shape of the trigger, much less curve.  Looks a bit like the old 85C.

Yes Luger will have P-08.
Mag capacity is 19 for 9mm and 15 for 40S&W.
I could not squeeze new P-09 frame on the top where was The Bulge.  It felt like the frame is made of steel.

Are the remastered P-07s coming the same time as the P-09s?

kobus: three sizes S,M,L
P-08 as collector item???  I will ask.
cawakening myles: ETA = moving target  in Czech language
new P-07 and P-09 should be right on the target.
same as SCORPION EVO 3A1 and 805 BREN. (latest news is 2012 but that is 12 months spread).  EVO was  slowed down by our famous BATFE - stock must be wood etc.  lot of red tape because this weapon is designed for terrorists ;D.
I am sorry I thought we will have nice machine pistol in 9 mm.  Somebody in US might put together folding stock for EVO.

So are they going to do away with the phantom and isn't the phantom a good poly, so why are they developing the p-09?

The P-09 is the next development step in the P-07 Duty series. The Phantom is an SP-01 derivative, different series, and since it was just adopted by the Czech military as their official sidearm, nope, it's not going anywhere. 8)
The P-09 may not make it to the US until the next President is installed into office, from what I am hearing, due to manufacturing capacities. The factory is going full blast to meet those military contracts, too.
Now I hadn't heard the EVO was actually coming here - that would be a HOOT, and the 805 is a dream rifle.
