Pimp My New CZ 2075 RAMI
« on: February 19, 2012, 07:01:04 PM »
I just picked up a 9MM CZ2075 RAMI, alloy frame (I read that the poly frames had issues), with a safety. I've ordered the 14 round magazine to end up with a longer grip. The pistol comes with an adjustable rear sight, which I'd prefer to change out at some point with a 3-dot tritium sight.

Is the pistol capable of being converted to a decocker model?

Suggestions on a rear replacment sight, IWB holster, grips?

Thanks - I get to pick it up sometime this week ...

On the RAMI I suggest using the PGXD grip extensions from pearce, they attach to the bottom of the magazines.  The modified extensions work/look great on the rami and give a much better grip.  I have a few (6 already moddded) if youd like to try them at $20 each (I cover shipping).  discounts for each additional grip extension. PM if your interested.

The Pearce 9mm XD extensions are essential if you're going to use the ten round magazines - gives a much better grip.

If I recall, it can't easily be converted to decock because new holes would have to be drilled into the frame. But why a decocker, anyway - all you get is a worse first-shot trigger pull.

I went in the opposite direction and had CZ Custom convert my Rami to SAO with a straight trigger, competition hammer, and no firing pin block. Now I've got a no-take-up trigger pull of about 2 1/2 lbs.

My holster is a Crossbreed kydex IWB. It seems large, but is actually quite comfortable and very fast.

IIRC the cost of the sights + installation was around $100-$110. Well worth it. The sights alone go for $80-$85 by themselves.

Awesome! Thx Otto.  Once my second RAMI comes in, and the wife decides which one she wants(:-)), I'll look into sending mine in for the sights.

Do you happen to remember the length of time it took for them to complete? Nice job on the rami btw.

Ugh...

There's a special Hell for someone that would do that to a couple of nice CZs... the same Hell that people went to when they chromed their WWI and WWII P-08 Lugers...

It's fun to re-visit old topics! Here's a pic of my RAMI now. I've owned it since 2004 and it's gone through several transformations. I think that the current one is the best!
