Jericho941 hammer spring and DA
« on: March 28, 2012, 09:43:00 PM »
Ive acquired a Jericho941 with original case and such ( 9mm and .41 ) over the weekend.  It comes factory with a 20lb hammer spring, making the DA and cocking a pain in the butt. What is the lowest lb i can go without having to change out the firing pin with a longer one.  Im thinking 16 or 17 will be fine, but anything else might be a problem.  Any input would be great.  Any more information to smooth up the action in the trigger pull would be great.  Ive tried the 941 website, but nothing clear on answers from search.

I'm using Wolff 16# hammer springs in my TZ75 and CZ75B. Haven't had problem with either, both are 9mm and both have the Wolff extra power firing pin springs installed too. You can get a Hammer Spring Spring Pak from Wolff with 16# - 19# springs for about $10.50, Wolff item 26506. When you find the one you like you can order them individually or in packs of three and ten if you like.

Sorry I can't speak specifically for the Jericho, but considering the close relation to the CZ's and small framed tanfoglio's it's a place to start.

Yeah I was going to get the spring pack from wolff but it is a 2 week delay just on processing.  Put in an order at midway for some other stuff and added a 15# just to start off with.  If it has light strikes ill go with 16 like you said.  Thanks

....and they're not kidding about a 2 week wait. I had to wait 11 days for a shipment last month, they must still be pretty busy.
