Rami BD Hammer removal with pictures
« on: March 13, 2012, 04:01:26 PM »
Hello All,

There doesn?t seem to be a lot of guides for the RAMI, so I decided to put one together.  I took some pictures to help with the process.  I did this using the 2075 BD 9mm version.
You are of course cautioned to do this at your own risk, but hopefully it will help those of us that are RAMI fans.

There are a few differences between the RAMI and the other decocker models.  The Hammer is wider than others.  Additionally, there are a few small differences between the sear cages.  It looks like they are there to accommodate the aluminum frame.  I do not think that they are interchangeable without modification.

Please let me know if you have any questions.
Good Luck!

Reassembly, just reverse the process.

The sear cage is a bear to reassemble.  Cajun Gun Works has a Installation kit for decockers you can use to help you put it back together.  http://www.cajungunworks.com/miscellaneous.html Makes the process much easier.  It is still a pain in the butt.

Step 1.

Remove the Hammer Spring Plug.
This will make the process easier since the assembly will not be under tension/pressure.

Step 2.

Remove the Decocker.

Lift the sear spring using a small screw driver or twizzers.  While lifting it, use a punch to push the dedocker out of the frame.  Will take a little pressure but not too much.

Step 3.

Remove the Sear Pin

There are a few differences from other decocker models here.  The Sea pin is held in place by a retaining washer/disk.  It is shown in the next couple of pictures.  it will have to be removed before you can hammer out tthe sear pin.  Pretty neat design, I was impressed with how they did it.

(yes...I saw the spelling error)  :P

Step 4.

Removing the Hammer Pin and Hammer

There is a small retaining pin that will need to be removed before you can take out the hammer pin.  It is in a tapered hole in the frame and will need to be pushed out from the outside of the frame.

With the Hammer pin removed, you can now remove the hammer.  There are other links and guides on Home trigger jobs.  The process is the same for the RAMI as it is for other decocker models.

Just raising this thread from the dead. :o
Can't believe I've never seen it.
Great pics and descriptions. I think this would really help newbies with some of the parts names.
Kinda surprised it wasn't in the smithing section😮 I could've used it once
Upon a time.

Bump, this came in handy. Great picks and thank you for the guide. The RAMI is a strange duck in CZ land.
Will work for CZ pics! (including but not limited to all CZ clones)
