CZ 75 Compact Question
« on: April 29, 2012, 09:46:23 AM »
I'm sitting here watching NUTNFANCY's interview with Angus at the shot show. During the interview Angus states he likes input from people so here is my question or input.

I'd like to ask why there is not a CZ 75 Compact model that has these features:

1) Compact

2) Regular CZ 75 trigger

3) Safety

4) Railed

Basically I'm looking for a Compact SP01.

Thanks!

You mean like this

CZUB website. Haven't seen any new ones in the US lately though.
This is steel framed, would love to see one in alloy

Yes Sir, but in 9mm versus .40 S&W.

That's another way of putting it, yes.

I know that CZ makes a lot of models but there seems to be a lack of safety equipped, 75 trigger, 9mm chambered compact models with a rail. I want to buy that pistol but it doesn't seem to exist at this time.

Thanks for the responses Gents, I appreciate it very much.

There is a P-02 which is a P-01 with the new omega trigger. I would think it could be converted from safety to decocker like the P-07.  I have emailed CZ-usa several times asking about availability. No response.

This is an older photo when a few P02s came into CZ Custom.
since then, no more of the P02s have been seen.

no known time frame either.

No one metioned that the P-07 fits the bill?
It may have a plastic grip but it does the rest.
The parts come with it to self-make a safety version.
The pictures are decocker versions though.
And it is cheaper too.

Yup, I'd buy it.  Sad thing is that I'm trying to wrangle up a CZ 85 Compact frame to swap on a P01 top end.  It'd be a helluva lot cheaper if CZ would just build it that way in the first place...

And no, in no way shape or form, does the P07 fill this niche.  I want a thin, all steel, conventional trigger system, standard CZ sight dovetails, railed, 9mm with a safety that is sized for carrying (and works with the bayonet...   O0)

Also, while we're on the topic.  I'd like a stainless compact 9mm with the high rise beavertail grip frame.

My EDC compact looks like hell due to holster wear, I sure wish I could get one in stainless...and if it had the cozy feel of a P01 that would be icing on the cake.
