After reading several threads regarding ammo, I was wondering, how many rounds of my chosen defense ammo should I fire thru my p-07 to know whether or not the gun "likes" it?

I'd shoot a full magazine from each mag. If they run hiccup-free, you're good-to-go, IMO.

Defensive ammo is getting expensive and hard to find. FMJ practice ammo is even harder. I would think a couple hundred rounds of FMJ and what The Process 15 said, two mags of you carry ammo should make you good to go. You would know by then about any problems, quite honestly these guns run extremely well.
