Followers for CZ52 Mags?
« on: December 27, 2005, 02:39:50 PM »
I jumped on an action for CZ52 mag bodies for $2 each.

A dozen CZ52 Mag bodies, and a dozen floor plates later ... I know that Wolff (www.GunSprings.com) sells the springs.

Now, I need the followers. Does anyone know where to get the followers for CZ-52 mags? (If all else fails, I can fire up the CNC mill and give it a spinn.)

I doubt that a CNC would even be necessary to create the follower.  it's no more than stamped mild steel with a round bend in the forward part of it.  I'm thinking that it wouldn't be hard to heat up a little mild steel, maybe .120 and hammer one out.  it's incredibly simple design lends to easy fabrication.
I'm thinking that with a Wolff extra power spring, one could cut a loop of the spring base to give a little more room, then make the follower significantly shorter, allowing 10 rounds to be stored in the mag & reliably feed.
