CZ75 "Shadow line"
« on: March 15, 2013, 02:49:45 PM »
I have been doing lots of research about CZ and had decided that i want a SP01 Shadow....while searching online I came across something that was new to me and confusing....what is this?is it just the newest version of the SP01 Shadow?

The only differences are cosmetic. The Shadow Line has aluminum grips, a new and different shaped hammer which looks like a cross between the standard hammer and the CZ Custom Shop competition hammer, different safety levers, and a nickel plated trigger.

EDITED since new information came up.

comparing the two a little more closely, the "shadow line" doesn't have the extended slide release and extended safety of the SP01 Shadow, which I can l can live with, I just really wanted to know that all the internals are the same as the SP01Shadow or if the "shadow line" is just profiting from the shadow name with lesser components inside

Internals should be the same. Regarding different length slide release/safeties, I've seen pics of either on Shadows. The safety on the Shadow Line looks a bit melted though to make it slimmer; this I have not seen except on the Shadow Line.

Don't bother looking on the CZUB website. That's for European markets. You need to look at CZ-USA's website.

SP-01 Shadow Target: http://www.cz-usa.com/products/view/CZ_75_SP01_Shadow/

Sp-01 Accu-Shadow: http://www.cz-usa.com/products/view/CZ75SP-01Accu-Shadow/
CZ 52
CZ 82
CZ 83 Satin Nickel
CZ 75 P-01 ODG
CZ 75 P-06
CZ 612 HD

Sp-01 Accu-Shadow: http://www.cz-usa.com/products/view/CZ75SP-01Accu-Shadow/

I am located in Canada and from what I understand our distributors don't get firearms from CZ-USA....in fact I called CZ-USA today inquiring about the "Shadow Line" and they had no Idea what it was and said it probably came from CZUB to Canada

The CZ 75 SPO1 "Shadow"   and the CZ 75 "Shadow"  are two different guns.
The CZ 75 Shadow has the short dust cover lower and no tac rail--like an 85,  but has the Shadow UPPER.
Both can be seen on the CZC site.

Here are questions I asked and were answered by Stuart:  http://www.czfirearms.us/index.php?topic=54323.0

I just saw some postings on this. CZUB showed a photo on Facebook.

seems interesting. it looks like SP01 Shadow, with thin SHadow safeties, stainless guide rod, 75 slide stop and al grips.
in the tech data they list it having a FPB safety, which is probably not correct.

interesting to see what will be offered in the future.

There are also the 2012 Canada guns out there too.
supposed to be a 2012 with red grips and maple leaf.

be curious to what you find.

I don't think 75 uppers have Shadow engraved on them, someone correct me if I'm wrong. CZ is silly in that regard. Shadow, Shadow Line, Shadow Custom, Accu-shadow. On top of that, add the base model which is the SP-01.
