My next will be a lightweight .22 for my wife to shoot while she recovers from her wrist injury/surgery.

We've looked at the Ruger 22/45 Lite and the Ruger SR22 - she favored the SR22 (perhaps because it was available in pink *eyeroll*). Anyone have any experience with either as far as reliability and ammo sensitivity is concerned?

I would just set her up to use my 75BD with the Kadet kit but she felt that was too heavy for her.

Just brought a Sig P-226 DAK .40 home Friday. Tritium sights and 3 12 round magazines. I like the full size Sig grips.
CZ-527 7.62X39, CZ 455 MT, SIG 556R 7.62X39 SIG 228. Montana 1999 .308 custom rifle and more guns and neat stuff

So far im 100% happy with my sr22. Its cycled everything ive put through it including some of the 60gr aguila sniper subsonic.  Double action trigger pull kinda sucks though. SA isnt too bad.  Great plinker.

Had my LCP in my pocket for three years. Time to try something new! I was looking at the new Kimber Micro CDP .380 when the clerk at Whittakers showed me this SIG. It caught my eye! Hope I like it because it's on the way.

Sure is blingy...

I thought it was raspberry, and there's a lilac model too.  Oh wait, I shouldn't know that.  :o

Great pinker...I mean plinker, I picked up the threaded version.  I've been talking about getting a can for years now.  A friend of mine has the standard one, he loves it.

Gunblast does a great review on YouTube.  Both my friend and I got the SR22 because it's suppose to spit out what you put in it.  That's why I passed on the M&P 22, supposedly it has a lot of ammo failure issues.

22/45 are suppose to be great guns...I'm not a fan of the Buck Rogers space design.

I had a Ruger SR22, it was a really nice little .22.  It was a little small for my hands (I have big hands) but ate the 15 yr old ammo I fed it without a hiccup.

It's a 6.8 ARP.  Think of it like the 6.8 version of the .223 Wylde.

The barrel is a 18" AR15 Performance 1/11.25" twist mid-length gas Socom profile.
Upper is a Spartan Side Charger.  It allows you to rack the bolt without getting off the rifle.
Handguard is a 15" Diamondhead VRS-T
NiB carrier
Daniel Defense bolt
Adjustable low profile gas block
Optic is a Lucid HD7 gen 3 red dot with a 2x manifier and killflash

That sounds right :)

Yeah, neither was my wife... I am a little disappointed, if only because the bolt on it is even easier to manipulate than the slide on the SR22. The mags seem easier to deal with on the SR22, though.

Is there any .22 ammo that should generally be avoided? Hollowpoints? Thunderbolts? It is hard to find anything for a fair price right now but I suppose I'd better start stocking up when I can.

Was planning on a RAMI but, forgot about a bid I had on GB for a 9mm M&P Shield that I ended up winning (will probably give to the g/f).

So, gotta start saving up (again) for the RAMI next!

I am seriously considering a P01.  It's one of the few CZ models I have never owned.  I don't need it and it doesn't really fill a niche for me.  But that never stopped me before.  ;D
