cntry,  KyGun has them for backorder  for $398 if cash/check/M.O. OR  +3% with credit card, free shipping.  They estimate another two months.
I doubt much cheaper will show up.

edit:  Corrected the price from $"5"98 to $"3"98--oops.

Not waitin for cheaper 1sow, just have to wait to buy O0. No.... actually this was just the first time I've heard of someone actually having them in stock. The lowest bid price is like $438 so I was just letting people know. I'm seeing more sites starting a backorder but none in stock yet. The one GB add has a buy now price of $629 which seems like a lot, but he's got one for sale when most don't so......I can wait. I think msrp is like $420 and $609 with crimson trace so I think as more come onto the market the prices will drop a little. Here's hoping. ;D

Don't buy into all the magazine positive reviews.  Read some negative reviews too.  Swayed me from even wanting one at this point.

Slide bite was the major negative for me.

You are correct that a new gun,  especially a completely new gun, is an unknown package.  One fairly universal finding was that they shoot accurately and have a very low bore axis, so felt recoil with strong loads is noticeably less than conventional actions.
CZ's are also known by many to cause trigger sting/pinch.
As they hit the market,  the truth will out fairly fast.

+1 Maybe they're good guns, maybe not. I'm willing to find out. It's all personal preference, I've shot guns that people loved, fired them once and said "no thanks not for me". and vise versa. Reviews can, in the most part, be very helpful. But until the pistol comes out and is reviewed by the general shooting public, I remain optimistic. :P

I corrected my price error on the first page.  IT's $398 if cash, ck. M.O.,  +3% if C.C.

Can anyone tell us what holster(s) are NOW available for the R-51?

Thanks cntry.
The Cross Breed and Galco are the only ones that showed available R-51 holsters. The X-Breed didn't look bad for iwb , but pricey

A guy on The High Road,  got his R-51 TODAY.

He hasn't had a chance to shoot it yet, but has a pic comparing it to the Mak.  He ordered it through his LGS.
I asked again at the mil. BX,  and guy said, can't order yet, but will cost $395

And . . . That price is just about right. It's directly related to the amount of time it would take me to purchase the R51. Lower price = faster purchase. Let's see if it's real . . .
Accuracy, n. A certain uninteresting quality carefully excluded from human statements.

I checked in the San Antonio area by calling a main Academy store.  and he said none are available here after checking on the computer.
I checked online using the Academy "Chat" line,  and besides not knowing what a pistol is,  she said NONE show available anywhere.  ??? :P
