My first handgun
« on: July 28, 2014, 02:23:04 PM »
Finally I managed to get my gun permit and bought myself first gun.
Used to shoot with borrowed ones but from now on...

It is 1991 pre-B 75, around 1000 shots fired, with some holster paint damage, 2 mags
Around 230$

It shots great, better than P220, P89DC, XDM. Only CZ 75 TS was better which you could expect :)

Here is before any modifications

Here is after LPA SPR sights and Hogue grips

I admit it is uglier but I only use it for 25m precise shooting so this is must have :)

We did little damage during rear sight install, it should be easy replacement but after 5mm it was jammed so force was our only option. That leaved some marks on rear sight which really annoy me right now  >:(

Maybe it can be sanded and polished with the dremel tool and painted with black sharpie?

Next thing is the trigger job. I want to convert it to SAO and reduce pull.

That is from me for now  ;)

NICE pistol at a great price.

The punch marks are on the sights and not the slide,  so no big deal.  Until I had everything tuned , modded and tested,  I'd just do the Sharpie or some auto touch-up paint that matches.

Looking forward to hearing about your progress with the action group.

If it was your first handgun, why did you change the sight and grips?  Why are you shooting at 25 meters?

I used to shot other guns but not mine (Sig Sauer P220, CZ 75 TS,...) so I knew what I need to change.

There is a discipline in our shooting federation: "handgun, big caliber, 25 meters, 10+10". You shoot    25m Rapid Fire and 25m Pistol Precision Fire (10 bullets each) in R50 target.

Great first gun.

Like the background on your photo.  Where'd you get that?
