Peanut butter
« on: October 25, 2014, 11:58:11 PM »
I got talked out of my black P09, so had to do another.
Peanut butter this time. Because nothing can be left alone, I had it tuned and tweaked.

CZ hammer, CZC sights, CZC ext firing pin, lighter springs, polished, stippled backstrap, Springer grip tape.

Nice!

I keep telling myself I don't need a P09, but everyone keeps posting great pictures of fine looking builds. I wish everyone would stop that.

Stuart

Can normal (75 and Shadow) hammer springs be used in the P-09 to reduce trigger pull weight?

AZ_CZ, I can make it worse - you can come down here and actually SHOOT mine sometime...then you will be lost. 8)

My love for peanut butter is renewed, to a new level...
Life is too short to waste on a bad trigger pull

My (stock) P-09 has quite a bit of frame friction with the slide, especially at the front dust cover area.  It cycles free and clear, but it's not nearly as smooth as a pistol that has no metal-to-plastic contact (like my M&P Shield).  When these CZs are tuned up, is anything normally done with the front frame area to loosen that up?  Sure, it doesn't seem to influence function any, but I'm wondering, if tuned guns cycle so much smoother than stock, what might be behind that magic.
