I own a TP9SA and TP9V2. The main difference between the V2 and SA externally is the SA barrel is .47" longer, 4.47 vs. 4.0 on the V2. The V2 is DA/SA, where the SA is single action only. I have a coworker with a VP-9, and we've done back to back comparisons, putting a magazine through each and have agreed, the single action on both Caniks is perhaps a little grittier than the VP9, but breaks just as cleanly, and actually has a nicer reset. The DA on the V2 is quite tame compared to a hammer gun like my P01 or P09.

The V2 addresses the "issues" youtube reviewers have with the TP9SA and it's decocker: you can decock with a round in the chamber, draw and fire without needing to manipulate the slide. But, as Brian Ahern noted in another forum here, it's extremely unlikely that you're going to decock the TP9SA by bumping it on your holster, a table, etc. The decock button requires a solid push to actuate, which pretty much limits it to an intentional act by the user. IMO, it's not any less safe than carrying a Glock or M&P with a round in the chamber. Don't want to have to cycle the slide in a hurry, don't decock it, simple as that.
The story so far:
In the beginning the Universe was created.
This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move.

None that I am aware of.  They certainly did not mention it at the Shot Show.

The smart play would be to do a compact version of the TP9SF that is coming out.

This thing is essentially the same size as my P07 with the exception of a slightly longer grip and 3 rds more!

It ROCKS! Quality is awesome, Trigger is too! O0

Shot mine for an hour this morning trigger is a major improvement over the original version TP9. Zero issues, slight learning curve on the Da trigger shots very nice groups ,by third mag I was very comfortable shooting this pistol.  Can't wait for the SF model.

I am having a hard time feeding the 18 rounders already! I can burn a box of ammo in ten seconds flat!

My LGS's website and also the Classic Firearms website states that the TP9V2 has a limited lifetime manufacturer's warranty. That sounds very impressive. Does anyone have any details?

i guess the warranty is with century. its a bit of a pain in the arse to register. one has to go to the website download and print the form then certified mail to century with a receipt.

im thinking why not put the f ing form in the box with the gun?

certified mail? GIMMIE A BREAK. i just mailed it the normal way so ill probably be screwed if i need it to be repaired.

century does what century does.
