Boyds Stocks for CZ 527?????
« on: November 02, 2015, 07:25:15 PM »
Has anybody purchased a Boyds stock for their CZ rifle? How do you like it? Any insight on whether a Boyds stock for a CZ 527 American would fit a 527 Carbine? Thanks in advance!

Lots of people use Boyd's stocks for CZ rimfires.

The American and Carbine are essentially the same rifle except for barrel length. The taper might be slightly different and you may have to work the barrel channel.

I'd contact CZ and find out about a new walnut stock to replace the defective one that split on you before I put it in plywood.

If you're looking at one of their Maple stocks then disregard the plywood comment.

I'd still contact CZ about a replacement stock even if the rifle was older than a year.

That's just me.

but not the ability.

My 527 Varmint 223 heavy barrel came with a Boyds laminate stock. No problems and it looks great. On the Boyds site it is probably the black on black, or black and gray laminate. going to bed it in in the future.
