P-09 'decocker' vs 'safety'
« on: November 27, 2015, 03:40:21 AM »
Has anyone measured trigger pull weight of the decocker, and then fitted with the safety and measure again? Is there really that much difference in the trigger pull weight between the two?

Interesting question. I look forward to other forum members input.

This is the first i have heard of any potential difference.
Will work for CZ pics! (including but not limited to all CZ clones)

I switched my P09 and P07 back and forth a couple times and didn't notice a difference. But i never actually measured the pull either.

I just received a trigger gauge for a belated birthday present. My P09 with decocker is a little over 8 lbs. DA, and consistently 3.5 lbs. SA. That is good enough for me, bone stock except for the sights. I've really have adapted well to the decocker.

I can't imagine there would be a difference. My problem with the 09 and 07 safety is that it sits to close to the frame and I don't see how in a hi stress situation anyone would be able to consistently hit the safety off on drawing.
All of my other CZ's are decockers so that's how I left my 07 and 09

I've been happy with my P09 set up a decocker ( I use it in IDPA), so have no real desire to change. The trigger pulls, both DA & SA are more than acceptable.  I personally like the DA/SA operation on a defensive gun.
