I still want to get the compact version of the Arex Zero 1. I have a Compact Zastava CZ999 that it is based on and I love that gun a lot. Yeah I was wondering if it uses the same mags as the CZ999 also. I believe the Arex is built on the CZ999 frame from Zastava and that the Slovenian company finishes the rest of it in house. I'm not 100% sure on that though.

I pulled out all my sight sets that I have on hand,I have all the major pistol{semi autos} brands in stock except Sig and Springfiled XDs series . it looks like It will be Sig on the dovetail size, I have ruled the rest out. So I will take my chances and order a night sight set for a Sig P226 and fit those when they arrive .

Brian,

Did your SIg 226 sights fit the Rex Zero? If not did you find a brand that does?  I assume you refer to the  rex zero 1 S   ( standards)?

Sig springs won't work The Arex spring is a longer heavier design.

Check this link for springs.

That spring should probably work in the compact as well. I  would likely only change the hammer spring. Just really looking to lower the DA pull weight.

Very True!  Had one of those in .45 ACP, which was later traded off for a SigArms P220A in .45 ACP.
While the P220 had a better Trigger, it's high bore axis made it a harsh recoiling .45.  The P220 lost out to my .45 Witness and was sold off to fund my L1A1 FN FAL Rifle Project.
High Bore Axis probably makes the Arex Zero 1 a slightly harsher recoiling 9mm, but I would have to shoot one to know.

How's the recoil compare to like a CZ P01?
