I've been a forum member for almost 2 years now but hadn't posted in the New Member area.
I guess I overlooked it because I was more interested in researching particular guns or solving problems than socializing.
My first CZ was a P-09 (9 mm) after watching a Hickok45 video and getting interested in his comments regarding lack of recoil, accuracy and the ability to hold 19 rds.
Luckily my local gun store had an owner who stocked a few CZs and had admiration for them.
With P-09 I was able to win 2nd place in a Bowling Pin shootout!

After researching CZs I found that they were being manufactured in the town that my maternal grandmother was born in!
Both of my grandparents on my mother's side emigrated to the U.S. from what would become Czechoslovakia.
In 1979, my wife and I were lucky enough to be able to get a visa to visit Czechoslovakia and drove through Uhersky Brod.

Since then I've gotten interested in CZs and have collected a few of them.

I have added (in chronological order)...
CZ97B (.45 ACP) - which I had CGW do the "E" conversion on--turning it into a real tack-driver, my favorite to shoot in competition!
Vzor 70 (.32 ACP) - my only CZ which hurts my hand to shoot (wide plastic piece on the back of the grip where a ducktail should have been)
CZ75B Omega (9 mm) - factory new
CZ 550 UCS (Urban Counter Sniper Rifle - .308 Win) - still trying to find the right scope, bipod, etc.
CZ75 P07 (.40 S&W) - used, had to switch back to RH mag release and from safety to decock as a leftie had owned it
CZ83 (.380 ACP) - factory new, a sweet shooter
CZ82 (9 mm Makarov) - very used but shoots well
CZ52 (7.62 Tokarev) - original finish but in good condition, a little fix-up on the slide catch, impressive to shoot
CZ45 (.25 ACP) - haven't taken it to the range yet, but expect good performance

So far I've found good and helpful information here on the site and look forward to expanding my collection further.
Welcome and what a great intro. I agree in that you'll need to own every Czech made firearms there is. I'm sure trying to do it (at least on the pistol side) Hehehe...

Thanks, LittleJenny!

I see you've got a fine collection as well.

Since writing the above, I've added a CZ 452 LH in .17 HMR.

I've also added a couple of Dan Wesson's...DW 15-2V/6V  (.357 magnum) & DW Bruin (10mm), but I'm still looking for even older CZs at the regional gun shows.

With the addition today of a CZ75D PCR Compact in 9mm, I'm up to THIRTEEN (13) CZs.
Is that an unlucky number?

Well I otherwise would have added some more but I was laid off back in December and I have to be careful with my funds.

I knew it was coming as the engineering business had been going downhill rapidly during the 0bama administration, so I banked a lot of overtime and per diem from my field assignment in 2016.

I have not been able to find employment since then.

I had been going to area gun shows and found quite a LOT of CZs, but have put off getting them due to my fiscal  situation.

The CZ24 however was on my short list of collectables, so I bit-the-bullet so to speak.

Because of your Czechoslovakian heritage, you probably need to own one of every model that CZ has ever manufactured :)

Working on it....just added a CZ "Z" (.25 ACP) to the collection...now at FIFTEEN (15).

Welcome from central Ohio.

Wow, that's an amazing collection. Congrats on the Shadow acquisition. I 'Cajunized' my SP-01 including a single action only trigger. Some day I'd like to try a Shadow or Shadow 2 just to compare.

Oops, sorry, well I'd like to try a Phantom also. The local ranges typically only have SP-01 Tacticals for rent.

No Shadow...Phantom.  I've held both and still prefer the Phantom.
