Yes, yes, but he doesn't take down the bolt or trigger group. This thread was in response to someone asking on how to take the bolt apart.

I don't know how many of you perform a total disassembly for cleaning. Seems a bit overkill to me. It's like insisting of taking the hammer, disconnector, and hammer strut of a CZ75 apart for cleaning. :)  I don't see the point of taking the frame halves apart every time you clean it. (of course it's required for painting). I'd be worried that the barrel is no longer true in line with the rail after repeated total disassembly and reassembly. Things (like plastic, screws) might wear out unnecessarily.

The way I see it, there's field strip (remove trigger group and take bolt assembly out), details strip (take bolt and perhaps trigger group apart for cleaning), and then complete disassembly (leave no parts connected!). Again, this thread wasn't for the complete disassembly.

But if y'all want, I can see if I can change the topic to reflect whatever you want it say (or a moderator can do that).

Erm... yeah, that's the guide I posted in the first post of this thread. Did you look at page 1?

I think some are looking for a video on how to take the bolt apart. It's not that hard, and I hoped my instructions and pictures in Apex's guide was sufficient.

Yeah, I agree : I'm a little confused how someone can't see what to do with the pictures. Just pay attention to how it comes apart . I reposted because Your link didn't work for me.

I appreciate the link but I like video as a video is 30 frames per second usually. Being my post is 45 days old and now getting a reply I have had time to take the bolt apart, Thanks again for the link.

TIP: I used a 2 inch mini c-clamp to block the trigger pack return spring, before putting the hammer stuff on its pin.  Made it very easy.
