I really only got involved in CZ pistols in Feb when I bought a CZ clone....Tri Star C100.   Wanted a Compact CZ but at the time had limited funds.  My question is , seems like the CZ75 is what most of the posts are about, so what really is the difference between the 85 and the 75?

The Cz85 has Ambidextrous Safety and Slide Release levers and sometimes a different shape trigger and hammer.

My grand father and father came to America in 1924 (dad was 11 years old) from Czechoslovakia.  Would really like to get a CZ that has made in Czechoslovakia to hand down to my son.

Okay, somehow I got the numbers mixed up in my book.  The 85 is an '89.  That makes a lot more sense.
