Different action and barrel serial numbers - typical?
« on: August 26, 2016, 11:28:50 PM »
I have a CZ 455 lux with matching serial numbers and just received a 455 Varmint with differing serial numbers on the action and barrel (documents for action and fluted barrel from CZ match the rifle).

Is the serial number mismatch common? Appreciate any insights!

I only have one CZ rimfire, a used but beautifully in superb condition CZ 452 in .17 HMR.  All serial numbers on the weapon match.

According to reports it isn't that unusual.
I had the right to remain silent...

but not the ability.

I emailed CZ and asked the same question. I was told that at times demand is greater than supply and so barrels are switched at the factory to meet demand. Nothing to worry about.
