Just thinking.
Would love to try that.
Anybody ever hear of a .30 barrel?

  • Is it broken? Then why are you fixing it?

Yes, in fact a man some of you may be familiar with did this in the '80s or early '90s. He goes by Bob Dunlap. He is a master gunsmith with those AGI folks who make gunsmith training videos. In his personal cz75 he makes a note about how he turned the barrel himself for .30 and then he goes on to say how he modified the kidney at the slide stop barrel lug to make for proper timing of the action afterwards. It was minor information about complete caliber change of the cz75.
Wife: Is it broken?
Me: No.
Wife: Then why does it need to be fixed?
Me: I knew you wouldn't understand.
Me: You're way smarter than I am babe.
Wife: Ok, so if it's not broken and not fixed, what exactly is it?
Me: It's taking time Hun. Just taking some time.

I'd love to have one, but it would likely be more complicated than just a simple barrel and recoil spring swap.  I have a HiPower in 30Luger.  The slide, barrel, recoil spring and magazines are different.  I also have a Ruger P89 in 30 Luger.  It just takes a different barrel and recoil spring.
