Who's going to get one first?

Thanks for the tip I bought one.

That answers that question!  :)

Congratulations, Brian!  8)  I'm sure you will post a good review of it.   :)

I like the look of them but I have no use for a semi compact. If they were 12-13 rounds with a compact grip I'd grab one.

I used to carry 6 or seven shots pistols all the time ,but not any more . 12 to 13 rounds is not bad ,but if this one is like the original K2P then a 19 round Mecgar should fit . 20 rounds with one in the chamber should do nicely. In our little town of 26,,000 residents an hour and 1/2 out of New York City shootings are almost a daily occurrence ,gangs are now norm. Plus they estimate that we have another 8000 illegals. Had a murder a week ago at the local autozone parts store right out front about a mile and a 1/2 from my shop. The days of small capacity handguns are over around here. They are backup guns now.  This new Sar will make another nice combat handgun for my shop or house or carry.

OK, help a "newbie" out.  What are the differences between the "old" K2P and the "new" CM9 and the supposed advantages?

Thanks.

More current styling, improved Trigger shape, and interchangeable sized back straps.  I won't be selling off or gifting off my "Old" K2P, anytime soon.
I carried my "old" K2P for two Winters until I went Striker Fired for carry, then went with my Canik TP9V1.

Mine is here already ,out of the box SA trigger pull is 5.7 to 5.6lbs on average, DA pull came in at 11.35 lbs a tad heavy but manageable.  Mecgar 19 rounder popped right in, I like being able to have 20 capacity if I need it.  I like the recurve style of this trigger over the sharper curve on the K2P trigger.  I like the grip changes ,gut there are some rough spots where the interchangeable back straps meet the frame. Easy fix with some 400 or 600 grit sandpaper.  For $289 plus the shipping should be another winner. It is marked TR Imports Inc Fort Worth TX on the left rear slide in front of the serrations. Love the grip feel. I will get some range time in and see how I like the trigger.

Other than the shape of the trigger, my K2P is the most perfect looking gun I have ever seen. In fact the only reason I bought it was because of the looks. At 279 I didn't care if it was junk, didn't intend to carry it. Turned out to be a good buy, in fact I think it is the best value to quality pistol on the market. So anyway the CM9 is almost as beautiful, I don't like the finger indent on the sides and certainly don't like the grip face.

I came close to pulling the trigger on one of these, but I won a Sig 226 so it will have to wait. So many toys out there to buy, with so little money. Life is cruel.
