I've used mine on three different firearms. It works pretty well for the rear sight, but can pose a problem with front sights. Depending on the firearm it might not have enough height to push against the sight, i.e the slide ends up in the pusher. This happened on an M&P. Also, if you have a front sight that is installed/removed parallel to the bore this tool won't work on it, i.e Tristar T100.
I am on the look out for a used/inexpensive two ton arbor press, most have 8"-10" of vertical space which will work on those firearms with that type of sight. It can be used to press anything else, from pins to sights.
