Yes, look for mags with no seams running vertically on the front and rear. Also, on new genuine factory production mags, you will have the side indentations at the bottom. There are some older ones that don't, but have the crossed swords towards the side bottom, those are genuine also.
Genuine mags of any year run around the $40 range, you get what you pay for. I would rather spend the money to get genuine knowing best functionality and reliablity. I've heard of many issues that happen with the non genuine mags, even the "better" ones.
Look for the below combination of mags to assure it's genuine and best functionality (CZ 82 mags new and old are interchangeable with the 83):
Genuine mags:
Side Indentations at bottom, no crossed swords, no seams. (Newer genuine production)
Side Indentations at bottom, crossed swords, no seams. (a little older genuine prod)
No side Indentations at bottom, crossed swords, no seams. (much older genuine prod)
Non-Genuine mags:
Mags that say "mfg CZ" on the bottom are not genuine and have noted issues.
Any seams, usually running vertically along the front and rear of the mag are not genuine and are seen with the mfg CZ mags.
Some experts may be able to identify more and add to this, but this is what I saw after buying 5 surplus CZ 82's, which have mag interchangeability with the CZ 83.
