I picked a 99021 up about a month ago.  Ran 100rds through it this weekend.  No issues what so ever.  Gun shot very accurately as well.  Putting some LOK grips on this week and back in the nightstand it goes.

Does anyone know what the final production number of this model was? I heard it was 500 but I think the made another run of them. Thanks in advance.

The initial batch they brought in was 500. Then they brought in the rest of them, which we think were 1500 or 1600.

The long awaited day finally came today,  my pistol  came back from Cajun Gun Works. The black  nitriding looks great! The folks who did this really, and I mean really, know what their doing, the fact that they were able to do all the controls as well, speaks for their level of skill. The hang tag on the pistol says that the DA trigger pull is 7lbs, 10oz the  SA trigger pull is 3lbs 14oz.  I'm impressed. I took it and a my HK USP compact(LEM gun) that I got in a trade a couple of weeks ago, and went to the range. I set up a IDPA target at about 10-12 yds and another more shot up target to which I stapled some targets I printed up from pistol- forum.com at 7yds. The first round from the CZ resulted in a failure to eject, I racked the slide shot the next round and got a failure to feed. I cleared that, and those were to only malfunctions I had the rest of the day, I'm guessing the pistol needed to sort itself out, which it did, because it ran like a raped ape the rest of the day. I should mention I also has a few failures to fire, I'm thinking this may be ammo related, as the ammo I was using was my loads and I've been using small rifle primers, as I ran out of small pistol primers, awhile back, and small rifle primers will work as a substitute, reduce your charge, and work back up, However, they are harder, this is a good test for a gun with lighter hammer/striker springs. I would also note that the USP did'nt have a single problem shooting this same ammo, Anyway, the worse that could happen is, I'll end up putting a  15lb hammer spring in..

The more I shot these pistols today, the better they got, the CZ is a tack driver and the USP is no slouch either,  I could'nt put the CZ down, I have Dawson sights on it with a FO front, and it was like shooting with a red dot, put the dot on the target and squeeze the trigger and a hole appears..right where you wanted it,  After a little warm up, I ran a little drill where I'd put two rounds on the 7yd target, and then two in the center, and two in the head of the farther out IDPA target, I was suprised how easy head shots were at that distance, the reset after the DA trigger, is wonderful, one could rip off two rounds starting from DA, quickly, and easily. It was rather easy to keep rounds on either target. Very happy with the SP-01compact, after a trip to Cajun Gun Works  it came back and it's like it's been reborn, everything is better. The crummy polycoat is gone, and replaced with black nitride, which will make it very difficult for rust to form on it, probably  the most durable finish you can buy.  The trigger is way better, and the short reset is, well, darn short, and very useable. This is one pistol that's not going anywhere. I'd post pics but I don't know how,  Today was one of the best days I've had shooting in awhile, both pistols shot very, very accurately, right now I would'nt part with either one.

I shot my dads last weekend and was lucky enough to find on from a private seller in Dallas.  I got it on Wednesday and I am dying to go to the range.

That is some good luck. Not a ton floating around right now. Let us know how you like it and if you do any upgrades or have any questions this novel of a  thread doesn't answer.

Good taste in the new gun. Then again, I'll take credit for bringing you up right! LOL

And the SAO conversion is complete. Well waiting on loctite to dry before test firing.  Will probably trade grips out since the oranges clash.

Is that the standard safety? Looks a little different (more shelf/thumb area) than the super flat one. Could be the pic, but I figured I would ask.
