A little setback in mounting an optics.
« on: November 29, 2016, 03:56:42 PM »
So my long travelling BC Tactical scope mount has finally arrived from Canada after two months in the mail. Its a little work of art, I cannot but admire the craftsmanship and design that has gone into this part. To my disappointment, however, I was sent the right mount for the wrong rifle, one designed for the SKS instead of the VZ. My heart sunk on discovering the mix up but I am sure this is only a genuine mistake on BCT's part and they will make it right. I am still awaiting their reply to my email notifying them of their error, I hope I am going to have the right part by Christmas.

Beautiful rifle, Do they all have wood colors like that?

How different is that mount from the one you were supposed to get?

Hi coolcw
Yes, its a standard wood chip/resin foregrip on my milsurp rifle, I love this colour myself, this is why I have not changed it to some of the newer versions on the market.
The mount for the VZ has a different shape, I guess the diameter of the SKS sights is different from the VZ's but I would not want to try it on and leave scratch marks on the mount, this might void my warranty.
