Tennessee Lifetime Carry Permit now $200 for renewal

If you live in TN (or looking for that last reason to move here), you can get the lifetime carry permit for $200 renewal or $300 if you don't have permit, military and LEs have equal or cheaper fees.  This took effect on Jan 1, 2017.  I got mine earlier this week, very excited to not have to mess with that paperwork again!

All in all, TN is a pretty good place to live. Oops, I mean it's awful, overcrowded, polluted, rude people. Not a good place at all.

A lifetime permit would be great I was happy when Iowa went from a 1 year to a 5 year.

While I cant speak for Tennessee - I will tell you that Missouri passed a similar law.  Here they are warning people - however - that with the lifetime permit you lose the reciprocity to other states.  They are telling us here that other states don't honor "lifetime" permits -
