First USPSA match with my SP-01
« on: January 28, 2017, 08:32:23 PM »
Today was the first time I ever shot production.  I usually shoot open.  Prod is a ton different!  I was 6th overall and first prod.  Really good day to be out shooting!  SP-01 has about 700 rounds down range now.  I love IT!!!

Nice Shooting! It looks like Production is your division. You are right, it is an entirely different can of worms! It is a lot of fun though, nd there are more production shooters than open any more.

Hey, where's a video from a shoot from this past weekend? I need a fix since I haven't been actively competing for a long time.  :D

two comments,

First the stage where you had to put all the mags on your belt at the start is dumb.. Terrible stage design.

Second, When you drop the hammer manually use your thumb on your strong hand. Dont use your fingers on your weak hand. One day it is going to slip out of your fingers and "BANG" Trust me I have seen it happen to a few shooters. You will get a DQ. If you use your thumb on your strong hand you can ride it down super easy. That is why there is serrations on the hammer.

great shooting!

Nice!  I hate mag pickup stages in production.  That said, the DAA Racers insert easier than the ghost and retain magazines better.  I've swapped the first couple pouches on my belt from Ghosts to Racers.  Seriously easier to get mags into the pouches.
Check out my Youtube channel! I geek out on CZ's and post match videos.
