Don't want to rain on the parade but 50 yards will be good if you can shoot under .500" with 5   5   shot groups all on one target.
Try it it. It is easier said than done with a CZ 455 out of the box.

No rain involved.  :)

I know that group was cherry-picked, and I also know I stopped at 3 so as not to ruin it.    50 yard groups will be tried in April when the outdoor range opens.  Till then, 25 yards is it.   Gorgeous, windless "it." :D

I got all the things I need to get this gun to the range. Got the rings, base, torque wrench to install, vise to set up the scope and level it. I plan on getting everything set up this weekend and hopefully get out to the range Sunday.

Just trying to figure out the torque specs for the crossbolt on the sig. zee rings with the jnp base. If you have this figure, please shoot it over. I think 50 inch pounds should be enough.

Can't wait to get some lead down range.

Burris says 30 lbs/in... http://www.burrisoptics.com/customer-service/faqs#40

Thanks. Looks like I was way off. I will set my gun up this weekend. Got everything except a bipod.

I was looking at the paper that came with the rings. It specifies 30-35 for the ring tops. Doesn't mention anything about the crossbolt whatsoever. I will stick with 20 in/lbs for the rings, and 30 for the base crossbolt. Wish they were consistent with their numbers.

Was looking for a 455 synthetic stock version and found it at Tombstone Tactical. Had it shipped to an FFL dealer near me for $317 including the transfer fee. These are amazing rifles. I have a Nikon Prostaff Target EFR 3-9x40 AO on Ncstar high rings with a CVLIFE 6- 9 Inches Tactical Rifle Bipod. With the short tables at a indoor range it wasn't the best way to shoot steady but at 75 feet after getting it sighted in it was consistent quarter sized groups and if I caught it just right it was 3 in one hole and 1 time four. This was the first time out with this gun and I'm looking forward to range with decent tables for steady rest.  I realised towards the end of the shoot that the trigger is so good as is I wasn't even thinking about it. I'm very happy with this rifle and don't see it going any where. Tombstone has the 455 22lr varmint for 408.65 right now with free shipping.
