Rami officially going back to CZ now
« on: February 20, 2017, 10:42:37 AM »
Figured out the brownish coating issue.....non issue

The little click and loose hammer condition seems to have worked itself out

This however requires a trip to the mothership

RMA issued

Not quite sure

The block moves up and down a bit but the pin is stuck in forward position

CZ didn't say anything or ask any questions, they just sent a FedEx Label

Got the Rami back today with the following work performed

"Work Performed: Replaced firing pin roll pin, deburred firing pin hole, adjusted extractor, some movement in hammer when its against the slide is fine, the hammer is not supported by the sear at that point. Test Fired Good."

Let us know how it does at the range, curious to hear a conclusion to the story.

This sounds like a case of excessive dry fireing with the factory roll pin?

I've dry fired it but not what I'd consider excessive.  Usually with a snap cap.  No idea on the history of how many times it was dry fired while on display though

Bingo.  This is most likely the cause of the stuck firing pin.  Cracked roll pins are bad, so dry fire with an o-ring between the hammer and the firing pin.

Glad you got it worked out.
Will work for CZ pics! (including but not limited to all CZ clones)
