Any down sides to the tall sights on suppressor-ready CZs?
« on: February 23, 2017, 05:55:30 PM »
I see that suppressor-ready CZ have tall sights (to clear the suppressor).  So would these tall sights be an annoyance or cause any challenges getting used to them versus my other CZs?  It'll probably be years before I ever get a suppressor, so if there are any downsides to these tall sights, then I should just drop this idea.

As far as shooting goes they are really no different than standard sights, line them up the same. The down side I can see would be that tall front sight snagging on the draw in certain modes of concealed carry.

They will limit your holster options, but shoot just as well as the regular height tritium sights on the SP-01.

I think they are a little ugly, but i would surely get over that if i could own a suppressor. (location prohibited)
Will work for CZ pics! (including but not limited to all CZ clones)

Worse case scenario, buy new sights and sell the tall ones, or save them till you get a suppressor.
If guns are outlawed.........

Any strong cross wind may tip the gun over so you shoot gang-sta style.

Ok, now that's probably worse case scenario.

I've got two holsters for my SP-01 Tactical with the tall sights. The IWB is an Alien, and the OWB is a Blade Tech.

I thought the raised sights could be a problem, but no. They work like other sights with no aiming issues, and I can carry this heavy lump concealed with no problems either. I'm really surprised.

Thanks for the answers guys.  Very helpful!

Yeah, seems like a good plan.  I love my Truglo TFX and would probably want them on this gun too, at least until I get a suppressor.
