Rami BD question
« on: February 26, 2017, 07:32:08 PM »
New to CZs, just bought a SP-01 and love it, and it has me wanting something for EDC. Guy a couple of hours away has a Rami BD for sale but he's asking $700 which seems high to me. 2013 model but according to him has only been shot a few times.

Decent deal or should I keep looking?

That is a little above the 2016 MSRP for a new RAMI 2075 BD ($680, I don't have the 2017 catalog yet). They aren't easy to find, so it all comes down to how badly do you want in now? I'd offer $550-600 if it was truly LNIB (after all, the tritium sights are 1/3 depleted now that it is 4 years after date of manufacure).
I don't look like my avatar!

Up to you, seems high, but I have one. They will be showing back up sooner or later. Once the market is temporarily flooded, the new BD's will probably be around $550- 650ish

Thanks guys, I'm in no rush (I have a couple of other carry options) so I'll wait around for a better deal.

Well, if you've got the CZ bug, there's probably none better than the Rami BD as a ccw, so it depends on what it's worth to you. If you haven't shot one yet, think of it as a lighter, concealable "snub nosed" version of your SP-01 and still very accurate. I find  it much more concealable than even my "compact" P-01, with equal capacity.

Bear in mind the RAMI BDs are particularly hard to find even in the best of times. Even when the market is temporarily "flooded" they're usually sold out within a week or two. I'm not sure that scarcity is going to get better in the near future now that CZ is going full tilt on producing its Glock clone, the P-10.

It's $50 over msrp for a new gun (if one could be found), so providing it's in as good a shape as the seller says...there's no time like now. You may kick yourself later.

If it was me, at this point in time, I'd buy it.

I have fallen in love with my RAMI's and even tho I am currently having some troubles with one right now CZ is working on it and has responded faster than any company I have ever had to deal with in or outside of the firearm industry. That being said no matter the outcome I am a patient person who loves a good deal but if you wait be diligent and fast to pull the trigger the day you see them available. Set your money aside now and get yourself on as many lists to be notified as you can. I love these RAMI's so much I bought 2 and if life says one of them just isn't gonna work then believe me I will buy a third one!

Just buy the thing. $50 or $100 in a year will mean nothing to you and you'll have the enjoyment of shooting it the whole time.

+1 with the above.

Offer him $650 and you'll probably both be happy. ;D

I just sent mine off for a little work, installation of the CGW carry package and a couple other things.
I plan on adding it to my carry lineup as soon as it comes back and I put a few hundred rounds through it.

^^^^ you will probably end up spending more time browsing web sites looking for a cheaper one. Time = $$$$
Buy it if you can afford it &  start enjoying it.
