CZ85 B project
« on: March 04, 2017, 11:59:07 AM »
picked this us pretty cheap for a project gun for my wife. she doesn't like shooting the plastic guns because of arthritis starting to develop but she has loved shooting my shadow... Figured it was time to get her her own CZ :)... it was a typical 85 B surplus.. shot great and mechanically was sound...

I surprised her with a fresh cerakote job... took a while to figure out the color scheme she wanted but with some help I was able to get it.

currently she's making a decision on grips.. wrestling with some wood grips or going with some G10 grips.. after that it'll be sights and then once she's comfortable with it we will do a cajun gun works job on the action... so far she loves it though!

Cool looking 85B, thank you for the pic.
Will work for CZ pics! (including but not limited to all CZ clones)

Check out the factory soft rubber grips.  Makes it feel like the gun is glued into your hand.

Yeah, I like the 85's.  I know there's not any internal/real differences in how well one shoots vs. the CZ 75's but I just like the 85's.  A lot.
I just keep wasting time and money on other brands trying to find/make one shoot like my P07 and P09.  What is wrong with me?

The factory rubber grips look just like those plastic grips on your pistol but not as shiny/worn.

I have no idea how they stand up to years of wear as all ours are a couple years old or newer.

They aren't visually interesting, but they feel just right.

I could get you one but I dont think it would be worth the price after shipping and transfers and all that good stuff :(

Well, thanks, but I already have two.  Pretty hard to justify another one.

Looks great. The combo works. Personally I think the rubber grips are perfect. the plastic one scratch and chip. So the rubber ones always look good. Plus the feel is perfection.

Note, for others, the 85 is a 75 with ambi controls.

...and, yes, you can't have just one.  O0
It all sounded a lot funnier in my head.
